Reserve guard Reggie Smith won't be back with UNLV basketball
Reggie Smith is leaving the UNLV basketball team. The junior-to-be point guard, who averaged 2.5 points per game in 20 games last year, on Monday was granted a release from the Rebel program.

UNLV basketball to play a pair of games in Ottawa and Montreal during August tour
Plans for the UNLV basketball team’s summer trip to Canada were released Friday. The Rebels will play four exhibition games north of the border from Aug. 16 to 22 during their stay in Ottawa and Montreal. In Ottawa, they will play Aug. 18 against Carleton University and Aug. 19 against Ottawa University. Games in Montreal will be played Aug. 20 and 21 against a to be determined opponent.

UNLV returns to national stage, thanks in part to Canadian import Bennett
UNLV had been courting national relevance in recent seasons, and kicks in the door with Canadian import Anthony Bennett. Matt Norlander says adding Bennett gives the Runnin' Rebels a frontcourt as good as anyone's.
